The Birst intelligence segment of multinational business (BI) in the cloud , is stepping up its presence in Brazil, becoming represented by São Paulo Think Consulting, Certified Champion Partner of the brand in the country.
The consultant’s plan, accredited to meet Brazil and Latin America, is to close the year with ten major contracts, climbing the brand’s presence in the country for next year, when the plan is to reach about fifty customers.
“The focus of Birst is to take the concept of BI in the cloud to the enterprise level, with companies of large size and territorial presence, which can benefit from this technology, “said Rodrigo Carvalho, a founding partner of Think.
Former partner of Qconsulting, integrator specializing in software from Qlik, Carvalho opened the advice in May, after observing the potential of Birst technologies in Brazil.
With ten years of market and operations in about 50 countries, the company has documented a significant increase in the adoption of BI in the cloud , a change from the traditional software on premise used by large corporations.
According to the company, the Birst recorded triple-digit growth in revenues in the last two years, and was included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant as a challenger, that is – one player on the rise.
“The market is going through a paradigm shift, where corporations are seeing that you can exit the on premise model, products like Cognus (IBM), Business Objects (SAP), MicroStrategy, Qlik, and migrate to the cloud with lower cost solutions such as Birst, “said Carvalho.
However, in Brazil, she acted timidly into two contracts, one with the Monster and the other connected to one of its international accounts. We assume the role of expanding this presence, “Carvalho said.
The international case is that of Reckitt Benckiser, the English company that owns brands like Lysol and Bom Bril, who adopted the BI software initially in Brazil to use management and sales force. Then the company expanded the use for all its units around the globe.
“It’s a success story that we have in the manufacturing sector, but our plan is to bring the product to various verticals such as retail, finance and government. We have several ongoing conversations with major brands in these vertical,” said Carvalho, without giving details.
According to the partner of Think, the cloud application is globally headquartered in the cloud from Amazon, but for customers with greater safety regulation, such as the financial segment, the company can use the AWS national structure to meet the requirements .
In addition to the search for new customers, Think will act in the country as a direct agent of Birst for training and channel certification in the country.Although it has not given expected growth numbers for this ecosystem, Carvalho points this effort as essential.
“To meet and if possible exceed, the growth targets we have, the participation of partners in all regions of the country, will be critical,” concludes the executive.
