As one of the tech industry’s oldest and biggest companies, Oracle Corp. is known for pushing its customers to their limits. Many of these customers see Oracle as Silicon Valley’s biggest bully. It recently used an ugly “nuclear option” to boost cloud sales, which earned the company the memorable headline, “’I felt like we were being extorted’: Customer says Oracle tried to strong-arm him into a cloud sale.”

Four reasons to stop being bullied by Oracle BI

bullyOctober happened to be National Bullying Prevention Month, which aims to stop bullying by raising awareness and encouraging kids to stand up for others they see bullied. This is a fantastic movement. We at Birst think it applies beyond the schoolyard, into the CIO’s office.
