Birst Connect allows you to connect and extract data from all major relational database management systems (RDBMS) – Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and MySQL – as well as import entire Microsoft Access database files, Excel spreadsheets, delimited flat files and ODBC data sources.
Connected to a relational database management system (RDBMS), Birst allows you to extract entire database tables and views as well as issue SQL statements for custom data extracts.
With Birst Connect, IT can schedule data extraction and processing tasks using either a built-in scheduler or a preferred task scheduler running on the local operating system.
Birst Connector for Salesforce.com
Connecting to and extracting data out of salesforce.com for upload to Birst only takes a few minutes. The Birst connector for salesforce.com supports both standard and custom salesforce.com data objects.
Unlike other Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for salesforce.com, Birst does not limit reporting and analysis to just salesforce.com data. With Birst you can easily combine your salesforce.com data with other sources, for example booked revenue from an ERP system or lead data from a marketing automation solution, for more powerful and holistic insights.
