Birst Connect allows you to connect and extract data from all major relational database management systems (RDBMS) – Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and MySQL – as well as import entire Microsoft Access database files, Excel spreadsheets, delimited flat files and ODBC data sources.
Connected to a relational database management system (RDBMS), Birst allows you to extract entire database tables and views as well as issue SQL statements for custom data extracts.
With Birst Connect, IT can schedule data extraction and processing tasks using either a built-in scheduler or a preferred task scheduler running on the local operating system.
Birst Connector for SAP ERP
The Birst Connector for SAP ERP allows hassle free extraction of data from any SAP business object. The connector works with both older (R/3) and newer (ECC) versions of SAP ERP. Birst connects via read-only BAPI function calls to a SAP ERP system and only requires a valid set of SAP user account credentials to authenticate. Data is transferred securely and efficiently to Birst using strong authentication and compression.
The Birst BI suite provides unprecedented flexibility to combine SAP ERP data with other data sources.
