This dramatically simplifies installation by freeing IT from having to worry about resolving potentially complex OS compatibility issues, library dependencies or undesirable interactions with other applications. The appliance runs on any virtual machine or hypervisor that supports the Open Virtualization Format (OVF).
Upgrades in Place
Multiple release versions of Birst can run at the same time across a single database and user set. With multiple release versions running concurrently, users are able to easily switch from one release to another, simplifying upgrades and subsequent required testing.
